Lake Arbutus BRF area
« on: Dec 11, 2013, 11:05 AM »
Brother in law just purchased a cabin/house with in a stones throw of Lake Arbutus near Black River Falls.  what's the ice fishing like?  Any suggestions?  Where do you get on the ice, tip ups vs jigging?

Thanks.

Got a friend that has a hunting shack up there. We fished Arbutus a few times; mostly a crappie thing. Never caught any eyes, the pike we iced ran small and the biggest thing we pulled through a hole was a 13# flathead.

Nice area, I've heard tales of better fishing than we had and the Sportsman bar is an "après fishing" destination....

To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!
