Squam

Its getting pretty cold up here at Plymouth State and im already thinking about ice fishing...Squam and Little Squam are right down the road... anyone have any info on good places to get on once the ice comes or general areas that are decent....

Lots of places to get on and off on both lakes.  Good easy access at the beach near the covered bridge on the Ashland end of Little Squam, use the boat launch on 113 right there in Holderness to access Big Squam or over on Bean Road you can get on the north end of the lake at the Sandwich Beach.  Don't catch'um all..!

Any body of water that is declared LT or Salmon waters.

Yup 2 traps for both.  Sandwich beach off to the right is a great spot for rainbows!  there is a nice rock ridge right off the right side of the beach.  The bows come up and cruise the beach!   Little squam is also a general good spot for rainbows!  Havnt hear to much on how the laker fishing is there.  I cant wait to get on the hardwater!!!  Hopefully by dec 20th I will be out somewhere in the southern 2/3 of the state!  Its coming!  Get ready.  It should be a good season.
