a couple from last week

last two trips out not to much to show for it met some new friends and managed one laker about twenty inches and cut a 5 or 6 lb salmon off at the hole. God knows I praying for a big bow but no such luck. these photos are from earlier in the week. it hasn't been easy trying to get my hook into a Bigun lately but still fun trying.

That crappie was 5/10 tenths of an oz off the state record sooo close..

ya I have some photos somewhere I gotta upload them to photo bucket. i had Corey weigh it on the deli scale at suds it was a monster. I pulled it outta the hole and some guys pops outta his shanty about 80yds away and yell nice bass.. i just started laughing. I totally would have released it if I knew it wasn't a record but man was it close.

Thanks....when you post the pics, could  you also give the specs??...length, weight etc....a crappie like that is on my bucket list...

Monster....I heard tell of one caught in my are last year that was like 18-19"....I guess the guy just drove around with it in the back of his truck for a few days showing it to people, I'm guessing he was a trout guy and didn't really appreciate what he had.......the bait shop guy who saw it told him to get it weighed to see if was a record....don't think he did... ??? ???...pretty sure one 17"+ would be over 3lbs, and one with a huge girth like your fish, way over 3....awesome fish....thanks.... :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

So close to the record.....




You forgot to mention us jigging up and trying cusk for the first time last week. Stayed late and got a bunch of small ones around  12" and kept one 18"1/2 to try. Tasty fish! I'll be targeting them some more.
