I'm thinking the weather stations got it incorrect again. It's absolutely cold out but I'm not seeing the 30mph wind gusts. Looks like a beautiful day.

As of then I drove down no problem, road was plowed & Sanded. Was a little slick going up. Wouldn't hurt to throw a bag of rock salt in your vehicle just in case.

I just came back from hearthstone and it was plowed with a small amount of snow on it. Quite a few trucks in the lot. Didn't connect
with any lakers though. However, in one hole I had one come off the bottom as my jig was falling and I made the mistake of stopping it just above him instead of letting it continue to the bottom. So I watched him descend back down to never be seen again. I did find a hot hole just as the wind started crankin and had to get off the ice. I had quite a few follow it up, with one hit about 10 ft below the ice when I stopped it. None the less, I'll have to wait until next time to ice my first laker.

Fished today all day, a little cold but was pretty nice when the sun came out, the wind wasn't terrible... There was anywhere from a dusting to a few inches of snow on the ice where I was, pretty good day, iced a bunch of lakers with the biggest at 26

Just got back to CT from LG. More snow on the ice than expected kept me from getting deeper water....Ended up working well. 5 lakers on the jig rod and 2 on tipups. Perch action was slow.

yea but you picked the right spot for sure.. I passed you on the way in from the "deep" water and it wasn't to productive for us..
That is a sweet flip over. Mine is much smaller and I was the guy who kept stopping every 30 yards huffing and puffing.. Should brought the smitty sled, better yet the ATV

..
With the expected snow on the way, it's going to get tougher for us walkers

Sure do miss the clear ice..

Out by chingacook gas leaked all the way in the auger. Need 5 more holes drilled if anyone one is close we are set up with dark blue shanty I'm tha idiot in blaze orange pants! If anyone could lend an auger that would be awesome!
