salt water fish have plenty of worms too ;)

Sushi still only comes from salt water, the ones they use don't have tapeworms.  ::)

I also see a lot of tapeworms in the intestines of trout I see. One reason why you only eat sushi from salt water.

I've had some SCARY long large white tapeworms in a couple walleyes from Saratoga lake.  One had to be over 10ft long :o  I still ate it though ;D

pimples, spoons,pk lures, buckshots, bucktails, jigheads with plastics, airplainjigs, jigginraps, they all work. just figure out what they want on the day your fishing. buckshots and pimmples are my favorites but plastics are becoming my new go to when the bite is slow. good luck!

That's my fault, I called them hook worms, the name of these particular copepods is: anchor worm.

That's funny my grandpa always call then Hook worms, because they hooked onto the fish....

I thought I was suppose to do something at my granddaughters school today, so I wasn't going to fish, but I had the wrong date. Well anyway I was late getting out, after 7:30 am going at it alone. So I got to my spot, no one around, just how I like it, I set up and bang right off the bat I got a Laker, nothing to jump hoops through for. Well I ended up with 11 total for the day 2 were keepers, I kept one for a meal. Here are some pics of 5 that I caught, taking pics of myself holding a fish is hard to do, my pudgy arms aren't long enough. I should get a tripod or something to aid in picture taking if I fish alone again.

Hook or anchor are pretty close, not much difference in what they do, both hold on to stuff.  ;D

Never seen one anywhere near that long, most are 3-4" unless you stretch them. Eating the fish is fine as long as you cook it enough otherwise you will get really skinny.  ;D

I know the ones I always find in the stomach of the bluegills in Saratoga are freakin' gross as hell.   Nothing fish-wise ever bothers me, except when a lump of squirming red nematods plops on my cutting board

Nastiest things I ever saw were the Trichinella roundworms squirming around inside the guts of the first black bear I shot.

Are you guys talking about the Parasitic Copepods that are on the skin of Lake George's Lake Trout?  Most fish have one or two, some have dozens on them.   They are relatively harmless.
this looked like bumps right down the middle  of the fish almost  every inch from head to tail . Looks like bumps under the skin . Like a bb right under the skin . Did not see any Copepods  on the outside of the fish . Not sure if it's the same thing. i  would have  took  a pic but it was too cold .

Boy Christmas must have been hell for you as a kid!

Nah, Christmas wasn't that bad compared to anticipation of fishing the opening day of deer season. Santa always skipped my house. lol. Nice fish, thanks for reminding me of why I should have went this morning! I went to Cossayuna and jigged one dink perch instead. My buddies are all busy so making the first trip to the king with zero sleep and alone just didn't have the appeal.

I've fished all night on 1 lake, then gone to the King and fished all day, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get the time in. It was a beautiful day out on the ice. :)

I just went into my play store and searched "Navionics" on my phone. It came up first on mine.  ???

What a time we have come to. Dude's snapping selfies on a frozen lake. Well done man!
I want to see a good set of duck lips with the next trout Jeff!  :o ;D
