Earliest I’ve ever made it out

Hit the ice this morning for a couple hrs jigging. 1 crappie, 5 lm and about 20yp. 7 1/2” of ice!  Crazy.

Great first outing. I cant buy a LM. I've jigged many lakes with them, and if I remember correctly, I've only pulled up one jigging.

I don’t usually have a lot of luck jigging bass but did alright today. They are fun on light gear!!

I started catching more (and bigger) bass when I started using lipless crank/minnow style lures instead of spoons and jigs. My go to lure is usually a rattle spoon, but always have a rod with a chubby darter tied on now.

I catch a lot on halo jigs. Tipped with plastics til Jan 1 but I usually use worms.
