Panoptix Livescope vs the "OLD" LiveVu
« on: Dec 18, 2018, 11:23 AM »
I'm uneducated with the Garmin Panoptix gear. The Livescope seems like a much clearer picture of what's there. Is that really the difference? I watched the YouTube video showing the build with the Live Scope and 9" head unit. All together that has to be approaching $3K? I'm thinking for me a good way to go would be take the initial hit with the Live Vu ice bundle now and maybe next year the additional hit with the Livescope upgrade. The Live Vu doesn't look that hard to read. It seems like anybody that has spent much time looking at a graph would pick it right up. It all looks pretty sweet. I like that ability to see out in front. I have the Humminbird 360 and side imaging stuff on my boat, but this just looks like a much more complete view, and in real time.
