Trailer size
« on: Nov 05, 2018, 05:54 PM »
Hey guys, new member here. Just wondering if anyone has ever built a tip down ice shack. I have a trailer that is 17.5 feet long from hitch to the end of trailer and I’m wondering if that’s going to be too long to build a shack on. I would like to make it at least 5x6 for the floor and one 7’ wall and the opposite wall 6’. Not sure how the trailer is going to balance out when I go to tip the shack upright. The axel is set 42” from the rear of the frame. Any info or advice is appreciated. Thanks guys

Have pictures of the trailer? Like you said, I’d be afraid it’s too long and your axle is too far forward.
