was out by herricks shoal thurs was over 20" of ice call hardware or ck facebook greg gives good reports

I'm going to say about mile walk to get perch water. Try the Duck Away motel in Chaumont - but they may be booked

A friend of mine who owns some lakefront just past the isthmus had a little issue today with a group of guys accessing the bay from their property without permission from the landowner. Parked their truck right at the water and even started a fire on shore with their firewood..... seems a little ridiculous to me. Just wanted to give a heads up to any property owners up there to keep an eye out.

The landowner called DEC and they addressed the issue but from what I’m told they still didn’t think they were in the wrong. Hard to believe.... supposedly was saying “been fishing here for 15 yrs , blah blah.”

It's like trespassers on your land during deer season or turkey season, they say the same thing. Greg (Chaumont Hardware) used to allow limited parking on a property on Salubrius Pt until some thoughtful folks tore it up in late winter and turned it into a mud pit. Wasn't there talk about the state purchasing some property out there for parking a couple years ago?

We encountered some lovely locals last year once we found the big fish at BRB. Seems to me that they think they can do and fish where they please. They do not like CT plates.

Myself and 5 great friends were out by the silos yesterday. We were told by the hardware store no wheelers or sleds walking only. We did walk aways 1.5 from the launch to the spot but was worth it. Everybody a half to 3/4 pail (6 gallon) . Good fish. Some crusty crap on top. 3-5" of good ice with little snow on top.

Caught a dozen keepers at carrying place this morn. 5-6in of good clear ice everywhere I went. Was out past the 20ft line.

If you’re going out from guffins bay you won’t be able to get to either shoal. That area between salubrious and cherry is never safe.
