Good news, Dave!

Not to pour any salt in the wound, but what did all that fun set you back?  Besides the inconvenience, that's one way we measure difficulties at our house.  Besides the tow, did you do all the rest yourself?

Looking forward to more posts.  You're doing something about which many of us dream but very few of us will ever do.  Thanks as always for the sharing.

Ended up costing me a couple of hundred bucks in parts.
There are 2 fuel filters on the engine that I replaced and got 2 spares.
Replaced my Racor water separating fuel filter I have on the boat as well as a new set of plugs.
Had to completely disassemble the fuel system on the engine and clean it all out.
Right from the fuel injectors back to the fuel tank needed cleaning.
Currently running on my auxiliary tank as there is still fuel/water in the main tank.
Still trying to get the last of it out and then let it air dry before refilling.
Will run on the aux tank for the rest of the year. ;)

Well I'm out @ the cabin.
Rained all day Saturday.  :'(
Got some window trim fabbed up though.
Today I got some siding done and will get some more done tomorrow. Got another hornets nest that needs to be dealt with next weekend before I go much higher in the back. Gotta get some hornet killer and hose down the hive.
They sure have been busy with our wet summer. This is the third nest so far this year. The only time in my 5 years I have had issues with them.
The boat ran great on the way out to the cabin. Steering was a little sticky since the helm was under water and the clutches in my NFB helm got wet. Stickiness went away by the time I got to my bay. Will see how it is on the trip home tomorrow.

Drifter/Dave , thanks for cabin update hard to believe it has been 5 years already of hard work to make this dream a reality. Remarkable all you have accomplished by yourself. May your boat trip home be problem free and all go well with hornet nest removal next weekend.

Said nope to the crappy weather and went home early!!!
Was 32* F at the boat launch when I got there around 9:30 this morning.
Was gusting 40 MPH out of the North too.   ::)
Managed to stuff the nose of the boat into the back of an over-sized wave on the way back to the dock to top things off.
The dog was unimpressed with being hosed by a wall of 54* F water. I wasn't thrilled either!!!   ;D

So it rained from the time I got there on Friday until just about dinner time on Saturday so I spent the day making window trim and a few pieces for the area under the deck.

Was hoping to get to the top of the bottom window today but was too cold for that.

The boat runs great though after the work I had to do on it last weekend.  @)

Doesn't look great other than a bit of sun.
Hopefully it's a tad warmer than forecast.

At least you do not have to fight mosquitoes with those temperatures. I would welcome a good killing frost right now to get rid of them. After hardly any all summer they are super nasty now.

Nice evening on the boat ride out to the cabin.
Not!!!

Didn't get much done was too cold to do anything.
Had my 60,000 BTU propane heater on full most of Saturday and got the tiles for my hearth cut.
That's all. Came home early Sunday to try and warm up some.
