Curious to know if anyone has used both the GT10HN-IF and the GT8HW-IF transducers out on the ice to make a comparison. Narrower cone angle on the 10 with better separation is the claim. I'm a Vex guy but have a 43dv EchoMap Chirp I picked up mainly for kayak use that I am going to toy around with on the ice for the lake map features.

Same question from me... buying a ducer for my echo 93. Leaning towards the gt8 currently due to the wider cone angle and fact that I mostly fish trout in less the 20fow.

So the gt8 is 16-24 degrees, 150-240kHz and 250watt power rating, where as the gt10 is 7-16, 130-300kHz and 500 Watts. I like the 24 degree width but how much bemifit is the increased power rating. Once in a while I fish Lakers in 100+ fow, which I’m guessing the 500w would be better for?
Was out last week in 180fow and my HB ice55 was having trouble marking a big ass tube jig in anything over 120fow which I wasn’t very happy about.
