Do you guys fish much with colored hooks? I started making bleeding hook lures and was wondering if i am wasting my time or not

If I am using a plain hook below a dropper, I will often use a red hook.  Not sure if it works any better, but it makes me more confident.  Thats all that matters!

I say do it if it makes you more confident!

PerchBuster,
Just remember that red dissappears after about 10' of water depth. Red will look blackish after that point. Water is a selective filter and colors will be filtered out in order (ROY G BIV) at different depths. However, Neon colors do not lose there color like spectrum colors because they fluoresce.

~25' for orange
~35' for yellow

One thing about colored hooks that has nothing to do with the color. They are generally made only from high quality, technique specific hooks, Say the Gamakatsu Octopus Or Diachi Octopus. The color isnt what makes it work better maybe just that its a very good hook.
Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.
