Kick the Photobucket
« on: Aug 30, 2017, 09:02 AM »
If you have come back and noticed that your Avatar/photos says "Please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting"  ??? and don't want to pay photobucket $399 a year  :%$#!: :cookoo: , use Postimage  .  Based on Salmonemia's reccomendation  last year I switched over and found it much more user friendly.

Times two.
I'm not an interweb guru, and have had zero problems with postimages.org.
It will be interesting to see what happens with $$bucket.

thanks.
i have my important posts images moved over to postimages so others can see them. it's not too hard to download the images one at a time and make a label like 1 and then 2 and so on in a folder for each topic you care to update. then update your topic with the new address per image. then you will have your topics backed up in case of more photobucket type scams occur.

you do have to remove the S out of the hyper links tho. so the links start with HTTPS:// just remove the S from the live/direct link from imagepost links and your images will work here. this site doesn't support the S in the links. the S means secure or encrypted.

I have gone to Postimages.com and had good luck so far.   I think we all have to choose new photo sites before the season begins.

you don't have to use accounts any more. i found a plugin the admin is using that lets you attach things like photos and mov and docs. it is limited ,but it also has an upload image button so you can upload from your mobile or your computor w/o needing an account.

here's where it unfolded and people are testing it out. have a go at it.
