Have made my own pin mins for years. Lately gave it a little twist by using jig hooks instead of the ones normally used. Also threw on some caddis beads and then added some bling to the blades.

Top 3 rows are intended for pannies size 10 and 12 hooks

Bottom 2 rows are for perch and walleye size 6 and 4 hooks.

Been using them a bit during the spring and summer. So far they show lots of promise. I use with a loop knot on light leader weight is provided on main line about three feet up from lure. Usually a # 4 split shot crimped on braided line. For leader mono 4, 6 or 8 pound test.

Just a slight lift on rod causes a lot of flutter. All the flash seems to pique the fishes interest. At least so far during the open water. Might be during the ice season it may put them off. Still anxious to try them after freeze up.
