Marden's has some simple hardwood balance type tipdowns in the Rumford store. At only 4 dollars with braided line I bought 2 to try. They don't have a precise way to adjust the balance but I can fix that by adding a small slliding weight. I've never fished with tipdowns so it will be interesting to see how well they work.
