Nothing thats any big deal, but I just wanted to let someone know...
I was printing out a registration for this afternoon for a friend that is coming woth me... He asked "whats on the form?" As I was reading it to him I notice that the date is screwed up... It says...
~Fishing hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February12, 2005, only.
I think someone made a small boo boo, just wanted to bring it to someones attention so that it dont screw anyone up!

Glad to hear the ice there isnt too bad... hopefully it will be making some in a few days here!

its not dyslexic me its that so called web specialist that is supposed to take care of things like this.

lazy web guy said its been updated but that is still last years form. i will look into this. thanks for bringing this to my attention. this is not the first problem we have had with this man.

I stopped by case this morning and no body was fishing. The ice is forming and getting thicker but by no means would i call it safe. Shore ice is crusty at best but the lake is skim frozen all the way across and making ice. Spots are 5-7" thick. If you venture out be carefull.!!

Whats up shawn! I have entry forms if you need one. If it gets cold like they say next week fishing should not be a problem. I was down there today no one was out on the ice.

RT 16 turn on chestnut (only light in town) make first right on maple go about 2 miles and case is on the right can't miss it.

Well Shawn it snowing like crazy now. We have at least 10" at 9pm sun night and its 20 degrees. Its 15 bucks to get in. You can get a application right at the lake or i have some at the house. It should freeze up quicly this week no problem. Good luck.

The derby is on saturday if good conditions exist!
No prefishing allowed!!!

actually, the way I read it... you cant be on the ice if your in the derby before the start time! Everyone is allowed on the ice to fish at the same time!
They will have apps. there though, so you can register that morning... or you can print it off line from this link...

Hell yeah... been looking forward to it! Its been marked on my calendar for a month and a half!

i think we will be in fine shape. was on the ice thurs. afternoon and it was still 5" of good ice. i plan on drilling some holes tomorrow so i can give accurate updates.

If you were on the ice thursday it may have been okay but after all the rain friday,sat and most of sunday i just don't think its safe, now with all the snow on top it may be insulated just enough to keep it unsafe!!!. Sunday morning there was no way to gain access to the ice to check it for thickness out a bit. There was open water in the middle for sure...

Fact or opinion?

Plese keep reports as reports not speculation.
Tim is putting in the hard work and marking the call as organizer of the event, lets leave this as an executive decision, I have fished with him before and he has knowledge about ice!
Talked to the big catch guys and they will be coming and have donated some gifts, John did well before at this event before, he loves to be called meathead!
Any ice shanty guys bringing a grill?

Will bring some food to grill up!!! just don't have a portable!

Anyone in for buck a man winner takes all for largest trout for ice shanty boys???
I will run it if there are people willing to get in. Will be out early sat.

I always have my little Weber charcoal grill w/charcoal and fluid in the truck.
I'd be happy to fire her up and bring some sausage as well.

Tim lives in Franklinville and has been checking the ice at least once a day.
If he says it's OK that's good enough for me. D_balm and I will be there tomorrow.

As for a trout contest, that sounds like fun. Unfortunately I have to leave early...
