Just pray this storm stays as south and east as possible as it passes tuesday.  That looks like some nice ice forming

All cameras on the lake have the background whited out. Perhaps the Lake George Association does not anyone looking at their lake.

I emailed them to complain and so should everyone else... been dragged on so many of those damn cruises over the years, now they take away my webcam. Not cool!

Was thinking of trying in the AM.  Anyone know the ice thickness in the million dollar beach area??   Gotta take day off...don't want to burn a day if I can't fish.  Lookin for anything but perch...haha.

For me its a go only if your willing to check yourself kind of thing.  Conditions can be fishable in the morning and unfishable hours later.

5 inches at duffy's.   Found some less ice the farther north I went.  Went out about 200-250 yards....5 inches there too.  Lots of lookers...no takers, but only stayed an hour or so.    ( this is what I found when I went out this evening...please be careful...and check the ice again!!!)

Must be by Hook & Line – Dip-netting is Prohibited
 
Lake George anglers are reminded of the new regulation for fishing smelt
 
Lake George Smelt Fishing Regulation
·       Smelt season is closed from April 1 to May 15
o   Use or possession prohibited of smelt is prohibited during the closed season
·       Smelt season is open from May 16 to March 31
o   Any size smelt may be taken
o   Daily limit is 25
o   DIP-NETTING FOR SMELT IS PROHIBITED
 
Lake George Tributary Regulation
·       Upstream to the first impassible barrier by fish
·       Fishing is prohibited from October 1 to March 31
·       Fishing is prohibited between 10 pm and 5 am from April 1 to May 15
·       DIP-NETTING FOR SMELT IS PROHIBITED

I see 3 guys out on lake George right now!!

              I was one of the 3 guys, there was about 5.5 inches of ice, about 2.5" of white ice and 3" black ice. If the sun doesn't come
              out, it should be good till Sunday evening. But take a spud with you, it can help!
