I have been out looking and found some nice ones buy not his.
Funny part is I hunted him all season long and the wife told me, after I walked into the woods, maybe a half hour later, he shows up in the yard.
I would not cheat with him but he did elude me all thru the season. Guess thats why he got so big. He did make it thru and was here, still with horns in early Jan.
Too much snow to really look for the sheds since.

Very nice pictures, who said "there is no deer in NY". My friend had the
same problem this year in his yard. Not one, but two large bucks would
come into his lawn 10 min or so after dark every evening, and they were
there long after the season closed.

This guy is a twelve and possibly 13 point. I had at one point in late september 5 large bucks hanging in the yard almost every night after dark. Also had a couple of bear as regular visitors. The property boardering mine as well as the neighboring parcels are all full of deer yet only one 6 point buck was taken in the season that I heard of.
We are not allowed to feed deer any more but I have found they absolutely love my lawn because I keep snow blowing different paths all winter long and they can get to the grass which surprisingly is still green. Neighbors are doing the same and enjoying the visitors.
Thought you guys might enjoy a break in the action and get back to another of our passions.

Just a word of caution-watch out if you have apicture window or patio doors. A guy at the lake had one jump through his patio doors last fall--it was a buck and they figure he saw his reflection in the window and decided to challenge it. Great picture and beautiful backyard scenery

So far only a few bird fatalities flying into the glass. The deer tend to stay off the deck but I do have a concern with the bears. They try to get into the shed where the garbage is now kept and can be quite destructive. Had to move it out of the garage because they tried to push the door in.
I have watched the bucks sparing with each other before the season but never truely fighting durring it. The big guy keeps the others in check and when ever the girls are in the yard, he is not far away.

Awesome pictures, my uncles and cousins down in VA have that same looking back yards being the last house on the side of a mountain.

Nice looking black bear with a little albino cub, that is cool.

Idk about daily, but I am thinking the same thing you are! Call it what you want to call it, but there are deer runs all around my house, and I set up stands and sit on them with my bow every year. Hey it works. I usually only harvest one of my deer a year

This year happened to be a nice 6 pointer
