Last chance to get the hard water walleye. Clock's ticking. I'll be out as the season expires.

i wish we could, but in alot of our good walleye lakes and rivers, all the fish run up one stream, and if anglers were allowed to take fish,  with a significant proportion of all the walleye population so dense as it is, it would decimate the population - oh well there is plenty of other great fishing that can be done in the mean time (not that i can catch any 'eyes to begin with)

I'm with stumper - we get to fish em all year here in SD. - Just kinda hard to wait the interval between crappy ice and open water out to fish em again.

10 hours and 58 minutes left for me :(.  No way I'll make it out today due to work. :(

It really is a shame we still have 35 inches of ice and could be fishing until April but I guess it's spawn time.

Oh well,  53 walleye in under 2 months is a decent season.  I'll be marking that spot on gps for next year.

City,

Better check again !  :o !

Minnesota walleye season closed 23:59:59 PM on the night of FEB 20th.  That was a week ago.

Tonight is the deadline to have shacks south of HWY 2 off the ice.

Do the leaves of trees stay greener, in the autumn, does the colour of the sun, turn crimson white? Does a shadow come between us, in the winter?

Here in SE PA, we get until March 14.  Usually, the ice doesn't even last that long!
