Andro woes.
« on: Feb 06, 2011, 02:03 PM »
Went out to the Turner boat launch yesterday for a change of pace from Great Pond. Walked 2.5 miles in the s*&(. Drilled 3 holes, on the 4th hole I grounded out into a gravel bar. Rounded over my chipper blade. Luckily its an old strikemaster so the blade replacement is cheap.

I learned to do some more research on the body of water where Im fishing, and get a damned snowmobile next year. Im sick of walking.

Do guys just dump their machines off at the ramp and drive to slow water coves? Because, I couldn't see anyone fishing within a few miles, yet, there were 4-5 trucks and trailers there.

Most people seem to fish right there in the cove that the boat launch is on. That river has many sand bars and shallow areas. Its great fishing during the summer and it would give you the chance to learn it layout for winter fishing.

The ITS trail runs right through that cove. The vehicles were probably park and rides.
