Atv insurance

Does anyone know if the state is requiring insurance for atv's this year? Heard a rumor about it and was wondering if anyone else has heard anything?

Do I have to insure my ATV?

No, however, the loss of your ATV, because of an accident, fire or theft,
will be costly for you. There are insurance policies available to protect
you against such losses. Remember, insurance protects your investment.

I have a 2011 Polaris ATV and it set me back about $8k. I have it insured so if anything happens to it I dont have to go digging in my wallet again to get back up and running. The insurance is cheap compared to replacement of the ATV. I guess if I had a real POS atv I might skip the insurance.

You always need liability  insurance unless you have deep pockets.

Insurance on my ATV is 95 dollars a year for full coverage through progressive. Short money for peace of mind!
