Where on Map
« on: Feb 24, 2008, 08:42 PM »
I use to fish this lake many years ago and caught some real hog perch. I have permission to park where the red arrow is.Where would you start looking for perch on this lake?

Looks like just out from where you park where its goes from 10 to 20 feet.I'd also check out that hump a little ways out further where 30 goes up to 10.

Also wouldn't hurt to fish that 20 foot flat going out to that hump.

I have been hitting the places you guys have posted about the last couple times out. No luck yet, seems everything has been coming up for a look then going away. Not really marking  many fish at all. We use to get a few hogs in the 20 fow area. Guess Ill try a few more times after work and see about the hump.

They may be in the shallows getting ready to breed in IN.

After looking at the map again and reading your post that you're not marking many fish..hmmm to the right of where you park is Duck pond. Does that little stream flow into the lake you're fishing?? If it does than that may draw in bait fish to that area to feed. Also I noticed again the little point just before that small stream that extends out before it rolls off to 30 fow.Which is next too that 20 foot flat.

Maybe work that edge of that point heading out to the hump as mentioned before. As someones mentioned before they might be starting to stage before the spawn.

Good luck !!

That 20'-30' point SE of the access looks interesting, have a couple on local lakes that are fairly consistant. How big is that lake?

I would just go two miles west down the road to the next lake ;) better odds
There is only one theory about angling in which I have perfect confidence, and this is that the two words, least appropriate to any statement, about it, are the words "always" and "never."
