I am new back to ice fishing, getting old and new gear ready, watching the weather.  Is anybody fishing the Big Eau Pleine, or Dexterville, or Petenwell??  How about small lakes??  I will be ready New Years weekend, four days off, any smaller lakes to fish for panfish or anything else that are safe??  A few guys answered in General Chitchat, and I am going to call the bait shop I usually go to new the Big Eau Pleine.  Petenwell is probably too big to even consider being safe ice, but one guy said Dexterville has about 5" and people fishing.  Going in the right direction, but need more COLD.
