Who fishes by Elcho?
« on: Feb 10, 2013, 02:56 PM »
We have a cabin on upper post lake by elcho. We never did much ice fishing around there. Im wondering what some of the better lakes are in the area. I know there is pelican, pickeral, rolling stone, and obviously upper and lower post, along with a few smaller lakes. Does anyone have any experience fishing this area?

I'm not familiar with the area at all but my girlfriends parents have a cabin on lower post.  Hows the fishing on upper and lower post in summer?  I will be heading up there this weekend for the first time to do a little ice fishing.

The Post lakes are on my bucket list.........Could be some sleeper pike waters. maybe you don't need to roam too far.

Other lakes close by are Enterprise, , Otter and Moccasin......... Gee, looking now at the map there's a couple dozen with 30 minutes drive in most directions. Sadly I have no experience on any of them, my expertise lies farther North.

To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!
