one day to early
« on: Jan 01, 2013, 09:18 AM »
I could have really put Wisconsin on the board yesterday for the tournament. I pulled out my biggest Largemouth at 21". I would post a pic if i could figure out how to do it on my phone. Happy new years everyone!
The fishing is always great, the catching however, always isn't

No it wasn't out of Osseo. The trip was good, the fish started to transition just as we got up there so fishing was slower than what it normally is. But we got into some nice fish. We had 7-8 in the slot, but nothing over 23-24" we had 16-18 that were 15-19", quite a few that were 12-15", and quite a few cigars. Really had to work for then at times though. The first night i caught about 10 fish just dead sticking while playing cards. After that the night bite was slow, but that's where most of our big eaters came from. I would definitely go again out of Arnesen's

Nice Bass, I bet that was fun to pull through the ice.

It was interesting, my flag hadn't been up for long and when i got there, he had me almost spooled. Then all the way back in he was dead weight until the last about 7 feet, my swivel connecting the braided to fluorocarbon got caught in the bottom of the hole, when i reached in to uncatch it, then he spooked. I played him only a little bit and he came right in. Then his lower jaw or something caught at the bottom of the hole so i dunked my arm again and pushed him of it then guided his head up the hole.

That's a hog!  I debated, but finally decided to put this one on the wall as i don't do much bass fishing
