Watch out for Norman Katrobos. Caught red handed over the weekend with a stash of fish under the ice. Just so mods know this isn't a random slamming, the video proof is on James Vladyka's facebook page.

Just another reminder why I don't do tourneys.

(thanks adkroy for popping it back up) Edit- cheating happens at a lot of tourneys unfortunately. The reason so many are up in arms about this is the guy laughed and made snide remarks on other social media sites. Apparently he thinks the whole thing is just a big joke and doesn't take it seriously. Well if fellow fishermen can put his name out to remind people about it, maybe he'll take things a little more serious in the future. I also want to add this is something he's obviously done in the past, it was well planned in advance, right down to adding weights to the stringer to keep fish from freezing to the ice.

its a sad story,but he got caught red handed by Jamie and there is proof.It's too bad that this goes on ,but it is common to hear of cheaters in these ice derbies.we all know it,this is the only one I know of around here that is policed like jamie does it.Hats off to you,Jamey Vladyka.I hope more future ice derbies are run this way.watch the videos,there are 2 of them on facebook.It's going to take a long time for this kid to live this one down.

This was started by someone else & removed by I am assuming forum moderators & I understand why that happened, however i just watched a video of the fisherman being confronted by james v . The guy confessed & he was asked to leave. The situation was handled professionally, in my opinion.To bad people have to cheat to gain the upper hand.I'm glad he was caught. If forum moderators feel they have toremove this also than that's okay to.

It should not have been removed!!!!"!! That is why I like this site because we share our ethical ideas and get and also provide info onfishing hotspots! We do not need these jerks ruining it for the rest of us!!!!!!!

Cheaters that get caught should be revealed , pictures posted, any thing so the true sportsman [women] can point them out and remind them of the act they thought was so important as to lose credibility .

Wish I knew why, a moderator took it down. I would think since they have a tournament as a site sponsor in NY, they'd want the person revealed so he can be banned from all tourneys.

That "post" I believe you are referring to is a Picture of him holding a crappie with some captions superimposed over the top. Says his name and that he is a cheater and is banned from all fishing tournaments. That was NOT his doing.....just to be clear. Somebody pulled that pic off his facebook page and added the captions and re-posted it. The guy didn't have his FB page set to private, so anybody could snipe one of his pics. The statement was proven true (by the video evidence) so it's not slander or libel. Probably a little further than I would have gone, but this issue has a lot of people pretty hot. Nobody likes a cheater.....unless they are also a cheater....then they probably will defend the guy.
