The Barton Chronicle just had a article on it, this Wedesday.  Sgt Michael LaCourse reports that the State Police received a call that a Ford truck went thru the  ice near the fishing access at approx 3pm.  The occupants were reported to have left the scene on foot.  Anyone with info about this incident is asked to contact the Derby barracks, at 334-8881.

So I just talked to the state police and they said the guy called in the next day and now it is in ANR's hands.  He said most likely they will not take the truck out until spring.

How many inches of ice was there, that day, when it happened?  Any other vehicles on the ice that day?

That's one way to turn a good day on the ice bad.
