For those of you with the Otter Monster Box on your ATV, did you install them with the U-bolts facing downward with the flat plate underneath your rack? Or U-bolts facing upwards into the box with the flat strap serving as a backing plate inside the box?
The instructions show the U-bolts facing downwards, but I'm worried about the thin U-bolts having no backing on the plastic box. I guess I could add washers to add some support. Tightening the nuts would be easier with the ends in the box, but then it's something to catch and snag on gear inside the box.
Just trying to see if anyone has any comments/thoughts. Thanks!
