Being self employed I choose my days by the weather.  So much easier for travel and enjoyable on the ice.  Try for a couple days a week during ice season.

being now retired at least 5 days a week.  it seems it took a long time to get to hunt and fish when I wanted.  ;D

Try for once a weekend from ice to ice out. Usually works give or take.

Last year I spent 40 nights on the ice, which adds up to 120 days.

My wife and I own our own business. She has always let me fish / hunt whenever I want to.  She knows I’m not the same person when I don’t go.  On the flip side of that, I make sure our world is taken care of before I go. 

Keep priorities straight, and go as often as I want to.

Last year at my lattitude, (Indy), I had 36 hours of safe ice - 4"clear ice-  I got out twice.....

About 25 time per ice season. Now that my 7year old son love ice fishing, I’m hoping that number goes up by a lot.
