Wyoming trout are tougher than B.C. trout!!  They can take it.   Heck, most wyo fisherman would rather catch eyes anyhow.  Trout are kinda like trash fish. Like a lawyer  ;)

I will go along with that.  They stink too!   Nothing like a few green backs to take the trout stench off your hands.

PGKris,
I have been to Canada fishing many times. Beautiful place.Love the people there! This was before you were even thought of! But probably the best thing that ever happen to the States is that you were born there. They deserve you more. So take your big fish cradle them, hug them, do whatever you want with them. But please do me and my friends a big favor and go waste someone else's time!
Oh and one more thing us Yanks! can catch pretty big Laker's here in the States too!

PGKris, ex-Lt here, I have no vested interest in the outcome of this pi$$ing contest which has now degraded to name-calling. I do have an observation though...after the manner in which you have addressed members of this site (i.e. There's no real nice way to say something nasty...Even Merck sugar-coats their pills, they're nonetheless bitter in the stomach!), I wouldn't expect the guys would be inclined to compliment you on your nice fish catches up there in B.C.. Just an ole granpa's suggestion here, that is, you've made and re-stated your point several times and they've made their points. All are entitled to their opinions. You see the negative result. Why not try just communicating with them (us) about other things ice-fishing. Maybe you'll actually make some friends here.  ;D

...that very thought crossed my mind also, I mean everyone has a right to post anywhere barring a few topic exceptions...I suppose it wouldn't be that noticeable if the tone of the posts weren't worded so adversarialy...Fer crying' out loud, you can have a danged opinion without hammering somebody else to jelly for theirs!

Final thought for me on all this foolishness, the only way to insure a C&R is 100% successful is to just not catch a fish in the first place. I mean sheesh, even disengaging the hook in the ice-hole is no guarantee...I've hooked fish in the lower throat and had them swim off seemingly un-harmed, others have just gone belly-up. Thing is, if a guy grieves that much over the finny critters, why take a chance, just stay home and knit or crochet or sumpin!  :woot:

Hey looks like Mr. B.C. is setting the bar with a WHOPPER!!

I was bored (working) and started viewing the B.C. photo's.  I don't think he practices much catch and release.  I really think he's jealous of BIG ICE!

Hmmmm...silly ole me, "What bar?" I said, I just didn't realize one had been set, but if indeed it was, it was set by Mr. Big Ice. I suppose a potential challenger would feel compelled to match Mr. Big Ice's laker...I suppose if that's what fishing was about for me, I'd be headed to the summer house in Boulder (WY) in order to haunt Boulder Lake until I could possibly post a similar, if not larger, photo. But...I am dis-inclined to acquiesce to such a feat, instead, I will simply filet yesterday's walleyes and ling and offer  (the gentlemanly thing to do) congrats to Mr. Big Ice on his danged nice fish!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a tee-shirt my wife bought me. On the front is a banged up old bull with a busted horn and a cut-scar. On the back, in bold, bloody letters is the warning, "DOES NOT PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS" I think I know what I'll have her do with it when I pass over...course she bought that shirt for me back when I was in charge of Internal Affairs and was sending bad cops to jail...yeppers, that's what I'll have her do with it!

Whoops! What's that? Could it be the sound of stones breaking windows in the glass-house??  :woot: Hmmmm...tried to warn ya, PG.  :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: You seem like a reasonably intelligent young man...Have you thought of trying something like, "Hey guys, how's the fishing at Boysen, how's the ice? Are you guys gearing up for the Wyoming IS Tournament?" ...just a thought. ("Doesn't pick fights". Maybe ya ought to refresh your memory be re-reading your first few posts on the WYOMING site.hmmmm????)
