Anyone fish Bellamy today. A few of us are heading out in the morning and I was wondering how the ice is.

haven't been in a few weeks but there was planty of ice by the southern access, not the dam area. Your probably asking about slushyness etc. which currently I don't know about.

Bluey and I fished the Bellamy yesterday morning and last weekend.  Did better last weekend with about 40 crappie between the 2 of us.  Yesterday morning was very slow.  We fished from about 8-11:30 and caught a total of 7.  There was about 8" of ice with slushy snow on top.  Last weekend walking was easy because much of the snow from december had melted and re-froze on top.  However, the most recent snow that we got made it a little messy yesterday.

Ballamy has current, so be cautious depending on where you fish there.

Agreed, and since I don't commute to Dover anymore, I have no idea what it looks like. We're headed to Pleasant for trout and the usual 1 flag day  :(.

Last time I was to Taylor's, there was a deer frozen in the ice.  Did F&G get it out?

Fished from about 3-4:30pm today. Two crappie and several bites before the sun went down. About 6 inches of ice, 3 inches of black and 3 inches of white. No shortage of other fishermen. I hope this snow storm doesn't slow things down too much.

Does anyone try the other end down by Nute Road?  I am dying to get into some bass locally. Thought that would be a good spot if there was a place to park.

Hook Mill Rd. off of Nute Rd. is a dead end. If you drive to the end of Hook Mill there is parking and access and someone is nice enough to plow it when it snows. Maybe see you there.

Yeah that's what I meant. I had something pull me almost out of my canoe there one morning. Swam straight down. Never saw it before I lost it.

I also caught a fairly massive pickeral there once too.

Hopefully I'll be there around sun up on Sunday.
