Twin tends to freeze up later than most of the lakes down there, with the big mountain range to the west there can be a lot of wind in the winter, and that's no good for ice.

What area of Johnson's were the rocks on? I don't want to ruin my auger later in the year. Did you go up any further north to lakes like condie or treasureton?

Fished Foster and Glendale today. Ice is fine. Perch are hungry. Gotta get thru 10-15 dinks before ya get one for the pan though. Lots of action all times of the day.

Twin is safe for snowmobiles and ATVs, there's at least 10 inches of good ice under a thin layer of snow. the trout are active and biting, other than that, the perch are semi-aggressive, lots of little ones and you have to be willing to work for them to bite. i did catch one 12" bass though.

no bluegill or crappie as of yet. and nobody i talked to had caught any either.

A friend fished twin a week ago still slow! I'm waiting for the goose season to end before I really get after the fins and scales, but in south east Idaho people seem to not be talking too much about the fishing this year, at least not in poky, after next weekend we will have to change that!
what did the fish say when he ran into a brick wall?

i don't get what it is, everywhere i go for panfish, there's plenty of them there, but they're REALLY finicky and you usually catch one aggressive one before struggling for the next 20 minutes to get one to even nibble.

last year you couldn't keep them off the hook, and they were decent sized as well. this year it's all picky dinks.

Yes there are not many but they are there the problem is your bait will get attacked by blue gill before the perch have a chance. I have caught a few though and have seen them on the camera. There are also some nice bass in there as well.

Fished Glendale for a few hours today. Small perch. Used white jigs and silver swedes tipped with mealworms. Ice was 15-18 fish.
