I would have to respectfully disagree that drifting sawbellies is all it takes on the reservoirs!
There are the lucky fishermen who catch the occasional quality fish and there are those who have it down to a science with some very guarded secrets and techniques! 😊😉

loose lips sinks ships. . I stopped posting about where I go a few years ago. . Now and then I'll post and try not to spot burn but there are others who are lurking out there that don't want to put in the time or effort in to find fishing spots or hunting areas. . So sad. . Social media sucks also . .

All this cold weather has everyone frisky today! Going to be a fun weekend on the ice lol

Ive definitely seen my fair share of spots burned due to word getting out and the fishing pressure increasing. If im protecting a spot tho, i just wont post pictures if there is anything defining in the pictures. I have yet to have anybody angry and not understand if they ask for a location and you respectfully decline and say youve gotta protect the honey hole. I hate it when people lie about location though. just dont say the location or use a made up name. Not a fan of the intentional deception, especially when ive seen them comment about current ice conditions on said lake that they definitely werent fishing.

Hey, newbie here...thinking about heading to Rondout Res with a party of 10 this weekend...targeting big Lakers. Anybody got any tips? I here they are especially chunky there...

😂😂😂 huge lakers allowed as many tips and hooks on that lake as you want!! Lots of ice fisherman out there using there outboards as ice breakers to go out and set tip ups some are even jigging don’t forget your sawbellies

With some on and off snow yesterday, wound up with an inch, inch and a half, so driveway should be good.

Anyone know if the lake has skimmed over with any sort of ice in the area just south of Speaker Heck Island? I'm not looking for an ice thickness report, just want to know if there is ice or open water in that area. Thanks!

Sunday and Monday for me as well Bill if you're interested in meeting up. I wont be able to make it out early on Sunday however so ill probably stay on the southern end of the lake. Monday i'm hoping to get some machines on and head north

We will have a decent crew (6 as of now) but you know me, the more the merrier.
