Ya know, I was just thinking about what kind of line to buy, and when I saw your picture, I decided on florocarbon! One heck of a pike on that light line! Good job! :o

Is it hard to tie knots in flurocarbon line? I've heard it's tough to work with.

Easy to tie knots, esp with that light of line.  I tie Palomar knots, and never had one slip.  When you get in the 40lb and heavier line it gets a little tougher, but still do-able.

Nice job with the pike by the way!  Goes to show you, if you play them out like you are supposed to, you can still land those gators with no issues on light line.

I tie the 60# all the time.  Takes a tiny bit more effort but have never had a real problem.

Nice Pike. I'm still searching for one like that. I am fishing close to you now and I know its only a matter of time. I only use floro line. I like the kind that goes invisible when wet though sometimes tough to see when you need to reknot.

NH piker, I was actually fishing for salmon when I caught this one so I got lucky. I guess luck was on my side that day. I played it out and let it take as much line as it needed. I think I got it up to the hole maybe five of six times before it took out 50 yards of line.

Its funny, how alot of individuals, think Northern Pike, are just in shallow water, but it goes to show you, that they are not.  Nice fish. ;D

Some of my largest Northerns come fishing for browns right under the ice over deep water. They really seem to scavange at first and last light...good fish!
