What makes you say it is a hybrid?

i think it is a hybrid because salmon have no spots on tail and dorsal fin but not a brown because jaw ends in middle of eye instead of all the way flush with the back of the eye

Browns often do indeed have spots near the top of the tail, and it is next to impossible from that pic to tell where the jaw falls in relation to the eye...

Not that it is impossible, but your fish sure looks to me like a typical lake brown (top in this pic)

I didn't know if there was a known population of hatchery bred hybrids in that lake or something...Is there?

100% brown trout; while they can crossbreed with salmon, there has never been any documented hybrids in North Americe. Also notice the right ventral fin clip and tail notch, it is a hatchery fish. Nice job.

Yes it is 100% Rome strain brown trout taken as summer lighhouse eggs from Salisbury FCS and raised at either Ed Weed FCS or Bennington FCS.
