I did mine the first 10 minutes of owning it, never even saw this thread. Cant believe it doesn't come with a spring and stopper from the factory???

I just used an old spring out of the junk drawer, a little electrical tape, and a couple zipties. I'm going to redo mine with an old throttle lever like on gas augers next summer when I have time to work on it.

I'd be interested in seeing your final product.  Please post pictures when you get it complete.

This is a two part question for you all.  I have a 1st generation conversion plate.  Whats the difference between Gen 1 and 2? Is the only thing that you don't have to remove the drill chuck?  Will the trigger mod work on a Gen 1 plate.  Or should I sell the Gen 1 plate and go get a Gen 2
Spud, throw rope, PFD and stay on top

has anyone spoke to cllam to get this taken care of for us?

copperjig, if the handle look's like yours then give it a go. if it doesn't work sell the gen 1. the parts used are 3/8".

You should be able to do the mod to gen 1 plates as it works on the same principle.
