What kind of fish are in this lake ?  My sister and bro-in-law live in Amherst,NH and have been on me to make a visit. If I could also fish while I was there,all the better. Thanks.

It has perch, pickerel, smallmouth bass - supposedly it has Rainbow Trout too, not that I caught any    I'm sure it has other species too.....

Honestly, he rarely sets them off.  But loves to hang out around the hole and eat ice!

Last two years, I didn't have a shanty or portable shelter (got a portable shelter this year ) so I made that day-glow double thick polar teck coat.  I only put it on him on single digit days or below when we are out all day.  He likes the cold alot but he's such a jackass - one day, before the coat, it was in the single digits and windy, and he ate tons of ice - next thing I know he's shivering! LOL - if I'm gonna be out all day, he's gonna be out all day!  I've got boots on his feet too!

Also, I figure increased visiblity for snowmobilers helps too - since I have experienced them failing to respect our space...

i've been known to hunt lakes for coyotes and ill be the 1st to tell ya:  he'd be catching a round in low light.

I am looking for a new digital...what camera did you use to take those pictures, I'am sitting in my cabin closed to the wood stove and I just took a bad chill looking at those really clear pictures

ovidgsd, my wife wants to know where you got the boots for your dog.
The dog we have is such a woosie, he loves the cold but can't stand the snowberries inbetween his toes.LOL

Read in Field and Stream last month the way to avoid those snowberries is to closely trim the hair between your dog's toes so there is nothing for the snow to attach to. Old school technique;sounds plausible.-V

I trim it on my golden all the time but then i think her feet get cold so who knows I just bring a blanket and a sheet of that cheap insulation boe=ard with the foil on it so she can get off the ice if she needs to

The camera is a Sony DSC-P31 - digital - 2.0mgp - highly recommended!  Well built and small - good for an angler's pocket

The boots are the "Bark'n Boots" from www.ruffwear.com - also highly recommended.
