Canyon Ferry Ice Fishing

Hello there!  I am new to IceShanty and looking to hit Canyon Ferry this weekend. Anyone have tips on where to get trout and Walleye?  Best baits, locations etc.? I have never fished Canyon ferry in any season, so any tips will be helpful.  I can trade with tips on Hyalite Lake if anyone interested.  Thank you.

Thank you, I read this prior and was trying to make my first post to see the conditions and reports section as it continues to take me to the home page.  Is there more to it than that as I am still seeing home page and not the conditions and report?

Go to the forum page.  The Fishing Reports should be just above the Ice Fishing Montana forum.

You have to make 3 posts or comments before it allows you to see the ice conditions page. If you comment one more time to this thread you should be able to see it

You're right.. When i joined it was 3 so they must've changed it or i'm going crazy

I've seen other people say 3 posts as well so I don't think you are going crazy

Some of my best trips have been while gettin skunked on a new (or even favorite) fishery.  It teaches you how to take the bad, with the good.

People want instant gratification, they don’t want bad days fishing and hunting, nobody wants to put work in and these sites support this. Nobody ever has to ask how to catch fish in canyon ferry ever again. All the info you could possibly want is in the last ten pages of 55 full pages of info. All you have to do is read. This idea is challenging for todays society with the level of work ethic we’re at now though

I dig how people dont want to spend money on gas to go ice fishing unless there is some kind of reward. Same people have zero issue going hunting and not shooting something though.
