walleyes on tip-ups

my question is do you prefer to use a stinger hook while using tip-ups to catch eyes or prefer the single treble hook?? i use about 5 inch shiners mostly

Same here Waterwolfed...no, I dont use a trailer on 'eyes.

I use a single #8 mustad 3551 treble hook. I hit them fast and don't have any problems. I use 3-4" goldens and my hook is in the middle of the bait.

Single treble in the middle of a 4" minnow(frozen) with a 4ft. vanish leader attached to main line with a swivel---and hope you don't get a pike....they will quite often bite it off.
 Hook is a #6 Gamakatsu treble. :tipup:
