Title: Coming in Antigo from NY....where to fish?
Post by: trimmers190 on Dec 20, 2005, 09:35 AM
Just wondering if there are any suggestions on where to fish?  I will be staying in Antigo for a week and would love to fish a nice lake.  I am also willing to travel.  I don't trust my brother in-law to find a hot spot.  Any suggestions would be great.

Wow that's a tough question, there is a million places to fish in the area.   The problem is finding the right spot on the right day.  Best bet is to ask at the bait shop or trust your brother-inlaw.   Where in NY are you from?  Who's your Brother-inlaw,  I used to live near Antigo and know just about everyone.  I will be back there this coming weekend and plan on doing some fishing.   I will try to talk to my cousin he will know where they are biting and let you know what's going on.

Thanks for responding...I live in Rochester NY.  The fishing here has been pretty good so far.  We were fortunate to some early ice this season.  My brother in-law is Ryan Filbrandt.  Look forward to hearing from you.

Looks like Pelican is doing OK, I don't know if I would drive out yet since this warm weather hit.  A couple of trucks went through near Eau Claire this weekend.
