I haven't been there recently, but JK e-mailed me the following: there was 5 feet of ¾ inch ice then the main lake ice. We could of walked out a tree and gotten on to the main ice and I THINK that it would have been safe BUT....... Lake Jean should still have good ice. There was about a foot of good ice and locked in the weekend before last. Don't know how recent rains may have affected it though.
