: 3 of us caught our limit of trout (rainbows and brookies) at Hunters Lake. The ice is going fast. Out of 10 inches, only 2 inches of clear ice left, the rest is honeycombed with an inch of slush on top. Went to Lake Jean in the afternoon and caught some decent size yellow perch and bluegills. The ice is still good there, 10 inches of clear ice, 17 inches total with 4" of snow on top. Glow in the dark ice lures like size 8 demons or fat boys produced the best tipped with wax worms..
