: No idea what happened to anglers on ice, glad to hear you couldn't find it any more either. Just came back from Hunters fog and a zillion geese a light rain. Did you guys make those 12" holes in the corner where you saw those brookies under the ice? We got our limit early then went off the boat launch towards the middle for walleye had a hit right under the ice I always think that is the brown trout. We catch them either deep or just under the ice some monsters. Those brookies were just stocked two weeks ago. It seems half brookies and half rainbow and maybe 5-10 big browns to keep things interesting. There was 11" total but only 9 " of good ice. No pickeral this time. Don't expect crappies there I only caught one there in my life, this year. There was no hot bait one on each it doesn't seem to matter with these fresh fish...Oh about your parking ticket at Rose Valley, that was you wasn't it? You gotta park between the posts, snow or not you are supposed to know where the parking places are, I just spoke to the local warden....
Sounds like the ice is still OK at Hunters. Did it rain up on that mountain? Think the ice will be OK by Saturday? The 12" holes aren't ours, but there were lot's of holes by the dam, and lots of people. I didn't fish this past weekend, but my friends did but at the deep end of the lake. They only targeted trout for about an hour and caught 18 between 4 people, keeping only 11 and releasing the rest. We're going this Saturday. Probably start at the deep end around 10 a.m.. We may make a spot change to another lake in the afternoon and set up for an evening bite, maybe to Lake Jean or Rose Valley. Thanks for the info about the ticket situation at Rose Valley. Do you know if they are still fishing or know anything about the ice conditions at Rose Valley or Montour Preserve? If you make it or want to hook up with us, give me an e-mail.
