page 2  Checking  for rips and tears in your canvas on your portable shelter should be done now rather than on a day of 20 below. My fishfinder battery gets a good checking out . Most gelcell and motorcycle batteries don't have the greatest life because they're exposed to the cold year after year. I check that my heater is in good working condition and make sure I have a couple extra bottles of fuel.  My winter clothing and boots always seem to be the last because I can never find them. I'm always checking my supply of jigs and lures, because that is one item I always seem to buy, and you'll never have enough. I always shop early for my icefishing needs to avoid a rush or only to hear that the item has been sold out. In past winters of a short season most of the items were sold out. Shop early to get best selection!
