Venison Marinate

1/2 C orange juice
1/4 C soy sauce
1 T lemon juice
1/4 C chopped onion
1 T brown sugar
1 T honey
ground black pepper

Place up to 4 large venison steaks in a heavy duty plastic storage bag. Add the above ingredients. Keep in the refrigerator for at least an hour on up to 24 hours. Be sure to flip the bag every now and then to keep the steaks covered with the marinate. When ready to use, remove the steaks from the marinate and discard storage bag and remaining marinate. Grill the steaks for the best all around flavor.

This recipe works great for the fisherperson on the go. Just bring along your marinating steaks that you've already prepared. They're ready to go when you're ready to make 'em. This is fast and easy clean up on the ice
