Glad to see you getting some flags. I wanted to fish there this sunday but its gonna have to be next sunday now. Hopefully the fish will co-operate.

Must be the moon phase thing they were talking about on the other thread. My buddy and I were fishing a trash pond today for Crappie. 2, crappie , 2 LM bass, 1 pickeral, 1 yellow perch lots of stolen bait, missed flags and ultra light taps on jigs. Never seen it so slow on that piece of water.

Hey cant beat 17 flags.  Junk ponds are a good moral booster when the trout and salmon arent biting.

Might try hooking the bait in the lip instead of the dorsal fin.  That many damaged baits I would have.  Not that it would have resulted in more hooksets.  Fish tend to take the bait headfirst.  Bummer to have that many flags without a fish coming through the hole.  Still, chasing flags is better than no flags!

Are you fishing with heritage lakers?  If so, you may want to file down the point on the wind guard for your tripper mechanism.  Sometimes the tension that causes can be too much for a light biting fish like a brown, or a fast hitting fish like salmon can be.

possible small brookies, went out last week had 30 flags , 17 brookies, and plenty of empty hooks and no flags, and some mangled bait with no flags only other fish in pond is bass and picks.......small brookies are awesome at stripping minnows off no matter where you hook em........

i was not on norway, but you are not the only one who had a day like that today. i had a lot of flags that had let out four or five inches of line. and my bait was getting mangled too. though i never so much as felt a fish. thats strange.

My opinion is neither copyrighted nor trademarked, and it's price competitive. If you like, I'll trade for one of yours.
