I know a place where you can catch them one after another in the daytime, but you can't catch them at night. ;D

I catch cusk during the daytime as well. (Don't know if this is true or not but)...I have been told that they spawn in the winter and that they become more active during their spawning peroid. I seem to catch more cusk during the day later in the ice fishing season.

I set cusk traps at night and the best bait is a smaller cusk.   In march the move right into the shallows but other than that they are deep I think.

I've caught cusk in the daytime at both Crescent Lake and Raymond Pond while fishing for white perch.
