« on: Dec 11, 2008, 10:17 AM »
Looking at buying one of these.  Anybody have any info or experience with them.  Just looking to try a flasher and see if I like them before i invest in a newer one.  Any info is much appreciated!

I believe that is an early Vexilar. I've seen some being used but never used one myself. One thing to look at on older flashers is the depth scale. If you fish shallow water they don't do as good of a job of separating the bottom, top and fish. I'm sure it will give you a good idea of what a flasher can do but just don't pay too much cause you will be upgrading soon. :-)

just got one for Christmas works well shallow and deep. This will track individual spikes down 20 ft. no issues They are 2 color R/G or 1 color R your choice. 80 ft scale or 80 fathoms if you don't fish the crowds would be a great flasher
