Yes they work.
I would not be without them on the ice. Any color water...any time of day. I buy my jigs...I tie my flies.

I use glow jigs about 90% of the time! I think they are awesome. No matter what the conditions are, or water clarity they produce fish!

Count me in too. These things catch fish. They don't always need to be glowing intensley, either. Even a subtle glow can work well. In the open water season, lake trout, rainbows and salmon have all seem to like them where I fish too. From flatlining in spring right down to off the downrigger later in summer.

I've had mixed results with glow jigs. Sometimes the glow jigs actually stopped the fish from hitting and other times it actually seemed to be all they would hit. I guess it's like all lures and techniques - what works one day may not the next !  :o

;D loveice they work great on lakes that have poor water clarity. Do not ie on clear lakes as they actually spook the fish. they are worth investing in.
Enjoy life now!!!! Get on the Hardwater before it melts away!!!

I like glow jigs at night for crappie, it really seems to make a difference. If you charge them with a jig flash or camera flash they seem to glow brighter and longer.

custom jigs and spin at the top of the page when you click on is the great lures of the century. i have used them for four years and there glow is great. they catch fish when nothing else will. dont be fooled by the rest....try the best. i also like the flash over the light. looking to buy a new flash for a spare so if you know who still sells them let me know.         rodger :P

I can't speak for the bodies of water where Big Walleye fishes, so what he may experience there could be a regional thing or maybe something else is spooking them.

But on the waters that I fish, the clear waters of Pennsylvania, glow lures catch fish, lots of them.  They don't spook them, they attract them and catch them.  And I don't mean a fish here and a fish there.  I catch fish on them when others don't, all day long, and at night too, and lot's of fish.  I also can't speak for how walleye behave with these jigs because I rarely fish specifically for them and don't have much experience with them.  I have caught walleyes on them.  But, I'd bet that they would work just as well, simply because I rarely see fish scared on my flasher when using them.

i met a fellow on wilhelm on first ice, we chewed the fat and i put him on to the glow lures. the next time i seen him all of his fish came on glow lures including the walleye. the lure he used was a marmooska in glow green. the glow lures are great.     rodger :P

I still have mixed feelings about them. Sometimes they seem
to work better, particularly in a low light conditions and very
deep. I wish some of them had less glowing paint though.

I use glow a lot, but have a different question regarding them. I've never used one of the small handheld charging lights, I've always used an old camera flash. Anyone have experience with both? I can't see that the keychain types could be any better than a camera flash, but then again, they may have a tuned wavelength just for glow in the dark paint. Anyone?
