We have recently been informed that there may be a proposal on the table at the Governor's office to merge the DNR Conservation Police Force with the State Police. This would result in the CPO force no longer being under the direction of the DNR. The reasons we are hearing for this move is to "streamline operations". Please consider sending a note to the Governor immediately!

Did you hear he was also suggesting taking the public hunting lands away from the DNR and placing them in the operations area.  I really hope the sportspersons of Illinois step up for this one.  Just look where the new charge for outdoor fees is going.  Not to DNR.  It is ending up the big cities and everyone else.  People be vocal and tell Springfield what you think.
